Horsens Art Museum
Since its establishment in 1906, the Horsens Art Museum has had modern Danish art as its focal point. The collection gives a good impression of the contemporary Danish art scene and contains work from many contemporary artists such as Michael Kvium, Erik A. Frandsen, Nina Sten-Knudsen, Bjørn Nørgård, Cathrine Raben Davidsen and Gudrun Hasle.
The museum has a permanent collection, in addition to special exhibitions, all of which can be enjoyed in some of Denmark’s most visually stunning show rooms. The museum is scenically located on top of the park Lunden in the centre of Horsens. In the building you can find a shop as well as a cosy café.
Horsens Art Museum strive to be a part of the cityscape where you go because you are interested in art, but also because you want to experience everything else that Horsens Art Museum has to offer. Here, you can also go to concerts, events and talks or buy books, gift items and much more in the museum shop.
You can bring the whole family to the museum – even the kids who can go and explore art at a children’s level. The museum collection contains many items that are aimed at giving the smallest family members a great experience.
