N.B. Cafe Lorentzen closes on August 31st. It will reopen on October 1st with new owners under the name Spisehuset 8F.
At Café Lorentzen, we strive to ensure that your visit becomes an extraordinary experience.
The café is located in the historic setting of Europe’s largest prison museum, something that has made its mark on the café’s atmosphere and decor.
The café has a unique story, as it was originally located exactly where the famous escape artist Carl August Lorentzen made his escape from Horsens State Prison.
We serve a wide selection of delicious café dishes. hot and cold drinks, light lunch and a selection of sweets and cakes to go with your coffee, making the café the perfect place to relax and spend a couple of hours. We welcome guests of all ages and have a high chair available.
Café Lorentzen follows the opening hours of the prison museum. The café can be reserved for events outside of our normal opening hours by appointment.
