Inspiration for your next cycling trip or bicycling holiday
We have collected the most popular bicycling routes and cycling experiences in Horsens and its surroundings for you here.
Horsens is also beautiful nature – all the way from east to west. Enjoy the nature and push the pedals at your own pace on one of our many bicycle routes.
The most child-friendly trail is The Nature Trail between Horsens and Silkeborg as it is an old railway line and, therefore, largely situated in flat terrain. It also includes a bridle path.
When the Giro d’Italia took place in Denmark in 2012, one of the stages started and ended in Horsens. The route of the stage passes Denmark’s highest point, Yding Skovhøj.
There are many possibilities – just take your pick.
Some of the routes are similar to the area’s hiking routes.
If you are staying the night
If you are staying the night in Horsens and want to go on a bike ride, we recommend the trail around Bygholm Lake (approx. 7.5 km) or around the large wildlife refuge and reservation Nørrestrand (13 km) north of the city which offers an abundant fauna and unspoilt nature.
